And this year, we’re proud to say that the Taste of the Town is back! Local restaurants will be out offering samples of some of their favorite dishes to registered runners and walkers. This is in addition to the R4DT Ale produced by Equilibrium Brewery and wine provided by Warwick Valley Winery. And, of course, the YMCA of Middletown will be back with kids’ events!
Now’s the time to get your co-workers, family or friends together and form a team to compete in Mickey’s Team Challenge! First Responders can form a team and compete in the 2nd annual First Responders’ Challenge. Details are found under the pages tab.
Will the Orange Runners’ Club, Piccolo Cucina e Vino, and Mechanicstown Fire Department all be able to defend their cups in 2024??? Or will an up and coming team dethrone one of them?
About The Event
The Run 4 Downtown’s inaugural running was 2006 – born from the owners of Something Sweet Dessert Café’s desire to give back to the community that had embraced their Café in its first two years.
The R4DT, a 4 mile run/walk, has welcomed runners and walkers on the third Saturday of August each year since and has donated in excess of $100,000 toward the continued restoration of Historic Downtown Middletown.
