4 Mile Run/Walk
The 2024 Marshall & Sterling Insurance Run 4 Downtown was the greatest in the event’s 18 year history!
Nearly 800 people toed the line on raceday, and regardless of fast or slow, they all had a great time. Additional music on the course, finishers’ medals, the Taste of the Town and the biggest Post-Race Party in the Hudson Valley, with an estimated crowd of 3000, all contributed to an amazing day.
Fei Tien College and the Orange Runners Club took home the trophies and bragging rights for Mickey’s Team Challenge and Mechanicstown Fire Department defended their title in the First Responders’ Challenge.

About The Event
The Run 4 Downtown’s inaugural running was 2006 – born from the owners of Something Sweet Dessert Café’s desire to give back to the community that had embraced their Café in its first two years.
The R4DT, a 4 mile run/walk, has welcomed runners and walkers on the third Saturday of August each year since and has donated in excess of $150,000 toward the continued restoration of Historic Downtown Middletown.
